After marriage, we lived in Scotland for three years and camped and climbed in most of its mountain areas in summer and winter. This is nearing the end of the long and difficult Aonach Eagach Ridge in Glencoe. The short daylight hours in Scotland were often a problem in winter and descents by torch-light were common. In 1966 we moved back to London and the child years followed.
