A funeral hatchment for Sir John Saunders Sebright (d.1846) on the north wall of St Leonard’s. The arms include those of various branches of the family – Sebright, Ramsey, Ashe, Saunders and Crofts. The red hand in the first quarter signifies he was a baronet, in this case the 7th and the motto means ‘Preserve the Mind’.
