The Bury is a Grade II* listed Georgian manor house built around 1790 by William Ginger, a local attorney, on the site of the original Tudor manor house. He died in 1793. Over the next two hundred years it was the home of several notable people and is now owned by the Dacorum Borough Council. The nearby Bury Gardens, which form part of Gadebridge Park, were once part of the property.
