The old Lloyd's Bank building at 7 High Street closed as a bank in 1997. It was previously a branch of the Bucks & Oxon bank, built by the firm of William Sear. It used Italian masons for the ornamental terracotta plaques. "I have seldom seen a Green Man, apart from in churches" comments the author.
