Alongside photography, my other main interest is golf, and last year I had the pleasure of playing at Whipsnade Park for the first time. I recall with slightly less pleasure this pond. On certain holes the sounds of the Whipsnade train provide an unusual accompaniment to a round of golf, rather louder than “the uproar of the butterflies in the adjoining meadows” that so upset P G Wodehouse when putting.
