Most of 'Elmhurst' at 5 High Street dates from the 18th century and is Grade II listed. The building is divided into seven apartments and features various styles of tiled roofs and parapets with dummy windows and blank panels. A semi-circular covered glass entrance with fanlights was added later in the early 19th century.
