2008. The Lady Chapel was used by farm workers and known as the ‘sheepfold’ until 1915 when it was established as a memorial to Emily, Viscountess Hambleden and her husband Rt Hon W H Smith MP. This picture, taken during Lent, shows the triptych closed and the cross covered.
