Work for the National Trust includes visiting some interesting open properties too, of course. In the Chilterns, Watlington Hill is one that was often on the calendar. In the late 1970s I was becoming very keen to familiarise myself more with wild flowers and I soon realised that the process was helped by taking close-up photographs of them. This one shows wild mignonette against the setting sun from the top of the escarpment and, hidden down below, is Watlington. June 2014
