West Wycombe House in 1959. It was built by Sir Francis Dashwood (d. 1724) and greatly enlarged from the mid-18th century by his only son, Francis, the second baronet (d.1781). The house is regarded as one of the best examples of Palladian architecture in Europe. Its exterior is neo-classical with a double colonnade on the south front and porticoes at both the east and west sides. It remains the Dashwood family home.
