Flint Cottage, built around 1850 and designed by Edward Buckton Lamb (1806–1869), incorporated crosses in the gables and was home to the Curate of Prestwood. The architect’s other notable works in the area are Holy Trinity Church, Berkhamsted Town Hall and the re-design of Hughenden Manor.
