The Earl Howe pub built from brick and flint in the late 19th century. The current 7th Earl Howe is Frederick Richard Penn Curzon, born in 1951. In 2012 he was the Chiltern Society's Patron and a front-bench member of the House of Lords. The family's connection with the peerage goes back to 1788.
