This is where High Wycombe's continuing medieval tradition of weighing in the new Mayor took place. As the weight of the out-going Mayor is recorded, the Macebearer calls out the weight to the crowd "and some more" if weight had been gained over the year. This would be met by jeering as it was presumed that the Mayor had grown fat at the expense of the ratepayers.
