The Flower Garden includes a copy of the original statue of Bacchus, removed in 1928. It is one of several small gardens, large lawns and avenues of trees that make up the extensive Ashridge Gardens. They were originally planned by Humphry Repton in the early 19th century and cover 77 hectares (190 acres).
