The year draws to a close with short cold days. The local wildfowl have become accustomed to being fed, and gather on the banks hopefully. I need warm hat, scarf and gloves, and take the latter off as briefly as I can to work the camera. I think of J M Barrie: 'God gave us memory so that we might have roses in December'. It's a comforting thought.
