Wardown Park is a delightful open space in the middle of Luton and very popular with the locals. It was once a private estate but was bought by two Luton councillors in 1904. In the 1950s there were spectacular Easter bonnet parades in the park. It boasts a pedestrian suspension bridge, a boating lake, a fountain and some beautiful trees.
