I have only recently rediscovered Ashridge and the Bridgewater Monument is a stunning centrepiece for the location. I went there as a youngster for a friend’s birthday party and I have spent some time being “trained” at the Management College. Much more of relevance to my memories now are the walks in the woodland, that vary so much from season to season, and I have still to climb the monument or see the nearby bluebells. If you are feeling energetic then I can recommend the walk down the hill to the village of Aldbury and a pub lunch.
