In our later years we have, like many, turned to the National Trust for many of our social activities. Cliveden is a particularly special location and we have seen it as base for American students and more recently as a “posh” hotel. The house is lovely but the walks along the river are great too, if you can cope with the steps. The history of the Astor family and the Profumo Affair add to the glamour. I like this view of the house as it is not one that is regularly seen.
