We love walking in Penn Woods and were delighted to see it preserved as an ancient woodland when the Woodland Trust took it over. It has special meaning for us as our daughter was involved in initiatives to stop it becoming a golf course when she was at junior school. This involved letters to the Queen, Prime Minister etc. I have favourite spots in the wood where I go for photographs. This picture is an area I return to every autumn as the colours are particularly stunning when the sun is shining from the right direction.
