I’ve never seen this many kites in the air at once but who has not flown a kite in their early days or later helped others to do so?
It’s frustrating trying to get a kite airborne when the wind is light, or losing one in a tree when it’s too strong. But then, when the wind is right and some experience has been gained, the elation of feeling the string pull on your fingers as the kite soars and dives makes it worth all the effort.
Kite flying is one of the many activities I have enjoyed in the Chilterns
