I first encountered Crowsley Park on one of the "Rambling for Pleasure" walks. At the time, there were several radio masts standing about the park due to its role as a BBC receiving station and, to me, there seemed to be little of any photogenic quality. Now, many years later, the masts have been removed, as have the cattle that grazed around the trees, and the visual effect has changed for the better. The trees, many going back to the days of the original deer park, are varied in species, some of them being very old. There is now some good photographic potential, especially in the winter months when the trees are bare. I have only just started to tap into that and I hope to be paying some further visits in the future. May 2015
