St Mary's Church stands on a hill overlooking the town. Parts of it date to the 12th century. It was remodelled in the 15th and 17th centuries and again in the 19th century when structural faults to the 15th century stone tower were also attended to. Today the Grade A church is architecturally a mixture of English Gothic styles.
