In 1998 Little Kimble received the Royal Train, carrying the wives of the G8 leaders, including Hillary Clinton and Cherie Blair, en route to Chequers. The station building is now a private house.

It seems remarkable that in 1998 this sleepy location received the Royal Train and its passengers including Hillary Clinton and Cherie Blair. I once had occasion to be diverted along this line en-route to Eurostar on the very day the tunnel at Gerrards Cross collapsed.
