The wall paintings in the apse were uncovered and repainted in 1850 as part of a major restoration. They were cleaned in 1987. The Norman pillar piscina standing on the south side of the altar was found in pieces during the building of the porch. The piscina has a capital carved with a head and leaf scrolls forming crockets.
