18th century Court Garden House, now part of a leisure centre in Higginson Park. General Sir George Higginson, a Crimean War veteran, presented Court Garden and the surrounding park to the town on his 100th birthday in 1926. The Thames dominates Marlow's leisure facilities with sailing, canoeing, fishing and an annual regatta in June. In the park is a statue of Sir Steve Redgrave to mark his record fifth gold medal for rowing at the 2000 Olympic Games.
