View of the Guildhall from the High Street. Lord Shelburne gave it to the town in 1757 replacing a wooden granary erected on 22 oak posts providing a sheltered corn market in 1470, and rebuilt in 1604. A stained glass window on the stairway commemorates the welcome home to those who fought in World War I.
