74, 76 and 78 Bell Street may look Georgian but they are very much older. The centre house, now 76, was originally a hall, open to the roof, with a central hearth. Timbers have given a date of 1405 and it is possible this might have been the Manor House of Henley that was rebuilt at the beginning of the 15th century. In the latter part of the 19th century Brakspear brewers' main malthouse occupied the gardens of 76 and 74. 2006.
