You pose an existential question that from this angle is almost impossible to answer. It is questions like that which pull in the viewers eye if they intuitively ask it internally. If they do - you have captured their imagination. If they don't get it - you lose them. This is almost unknown enough to be abstract, and that is the danger with this type of photography. Abstracts are the ultimate marmite photos. Viewers love 'em or hate 'em.
