Definitely agree with your sentiments about the parks (especially as I used to manage some municipal parks). But it is the light that makes this photograph come alive. The reds in the foreground punctuate the way the eye moves in, but the real story lies with the picnic-like story with the people in the midground. Nice little touch and well placed on a third. An endearing scene making the best of a delightful afternoon.
