A blacksmith at the COAM demonstrating his craft on the day that I visited. Took quite a few pictures of him as we talked, which was tricky with a very bright light behind him in his dark and smoky cabin.

Damon Guy - Nedeľa 31 December 2023 16:34Environmental portraits are shots of people in a particular context, work or play or on holiday. The shot has to be wider than the subjects immediate space so the viewer gets a full idea of what is being acted out. The blacksmith is in action and you can see aspects of his workshop environment to give greater interest to the shot. A difficult but well achieved exposure with that back window.
