One of our favourite walks was a circuit from Park Corner, Swyncombe, to be done at bluebell time, first recorded in May 1997. Colin’s file of walks has the note, for example: 28.4.2002: ‘…Bluebells excellent, especially through Hazel Wood. Violets nearly finished, a few primroses left. Kites dodging about in the wind…’ This lovely walk was repeated most years and it was one of the few that I remembered well enough to take different friends on after Colin died in 2007.
