Phase 3 of the restoration is from Drayton Beauchamp Bridge to Wendover. The Aston Clinton by-pass was originally planned to cut across the Arm on an embankment making restoration impossible but, after a public enquiry, it was decided to realign the canal so that a bridge could be built. The plaque records the discovery of the nearby burial site of a Saxon princess in 2001, hence the name of the bridge.
