The Arm is navigable to this 86ft winding hole. A winding (pronounced as in 'windmill') hole is a place designed to be wide enough for boats to turn. The 1.3 miles from Bulbourne was phase 1 of the restoration work undertaken by the Trust; it was completed in 2005.
