Tring Local History Museum in Brook Street stands on the site of the former cattle market, and once housed the office of the Tring Livestock Market. The building dates from 1893 and was purchased to house the museum following fund-raising and a National Lottery Grant. It opened in September 2010. "It is well worth a visit – it's much bigger than it appears from the outside – and like so many museums, is run entirely by volunteers", writes Alison Beck. In 2022 it was open on Fridays and Saturdays.
