This rather lovely lychgate was built around 1882-91 with limestone dressings and a steeply pitched tiled roof. I like the slender shafts of the moulded arches. Inside is a plaque installed in 1986 recording the community's existence in the Domesday Book, issued by the National Domesday Committee to record 900 years of Norman Heritage.
