I have always enjoyed viewing and photographing butterflies. Disappointingly I do not get as many good pictures as I would like – I seem to frighten them away as I get close. I did get this pleasing picture of a marbled white at College Lake (near Tring), on one of our visits. This former quarry is developing nicely and apart from being a nice circular walk and having a good coffee shop it has an interesting variety of flora and fauna on offer.
