Description 1996/7. Lane End High Street (B482) looking west towards Stokenchurch. Note the post box that was moved from the centre of the village in September 1996 at the request of the then operator of the Post Office who objected to the box being outside her property. It is understood that Wycombe District Council refused to allow it to be moved to another central site in the village so it is now some 150 yards further away from the new Post Office (with the striped awning).
