Escutcheons on the wall of the school. The golden leopards' faces are the arms of William de la Pole, Earl of Suffolk, who moved into Ewelme Manor in 1430 when he married Alice Chaucer, granddaughter of the author of The Canterbury Tales, Geoffrey Chaucer.
