Cloister and courtyard with almshouses beyond. In 1437 a licence was given to William de la Pole, Earl of Suffolk, and his wife, Alice, to establish an almshouse in Ewelme. Statutes of 1448-50 include Alice's plan to house thirteen poor, aged and infirm men and two priests.
