Description The form of the village owes much to the control exercised by successive owners of the manor until 1956 when most of the village was left to the National Trust. Bradenham is a conservation area and nearly every building is listed by English Heritage as being of special architectural or historic interest.

Description Looking west from the village, which is 4 miles north-west of High Wycombe. The village slopes down from beech woods to the main A4010 road and the Saunderton valley, with the outline of Bledlow Ridge beyond.

Description The Red Lion stands at the junction of the A4010 main road and, on the right, the lane to Walter's Ash which goes through the village.

Description The Red Lion hides its flint and brickwork under whitewash. It dates from the late 18C but has been much altered: the double entrance doors are 20C.
