Amersham museum organises walks through the town to tell the story of the protestant dissenters called the Lollards. Edna Sansom went on these walks and took the photographs in 2006 and 2007.

Description These half-timbered houses were in use in the 16th century. Many of the houses in the High Street are in fact older than the facades suggest. Amersham has one of the best-preserved town centres in the country because the railway was not allowed to run through the town.
