Ford End Watermill, near Ivinghoe, has been restored by Pitstone Local History Society and is the only working watermill in Bucks. More information can be found on www.fordendwatermill.co.uk. The photographs were taken by John Fitzgerald in April 2007.

Description Ford End Watermill, recorded in 1767 but certainly much older, was used until 1963. After restoration it retains all the atmosphere of a farm mill in the late 1800s.

Description The water stored in the millpond is used to drive the waterwheel. Water comes from springs not far from Pitstone windmill. It flows to the watermill in a small stream, Whistle Brook.
